He is also prize winner of world's biggest cello competitions and awards such as Adam Cello Competition in New Zealand 2009 and VTB Capital Prize for Young Cellists 2009. Stjepan is also double 1st prize winner of the International Music Competition "Francesco Forgione" in Italy 2008, 1st prize and audience prize winner of "Lions Grand Prix" International Competition in Croatia 2003 as well as the 1st prize winner of all the TCM London competitions including Vivian Joseph Classical Concerto Competition 2007, Leonard Smith & Felicity Young Competition 2007, Vera Kantrovich Bach Competition 2007 and J & A Beare Prize for Classical Concerto 2007. He was twice 1st prize winner of the national competitions in Croatia 2002 and 2004, Rudolf Matz International Cello Competition 2005 as well as the winner of Croatian TV Show "Dobro Jutro Hrvatska" 2008. All together Stjepan collected a total of 21 first prizes among national and international competitions and as consequence he was invited to perform twice on Gala concerts for H R H Prince Charles in Buckingham Palace and St. James's Palace.

In October 2006 he was the only cellist chosen to perform in the gala concert at Palazzo Vecchio, Florence for the late Mstislav Rostropovich, who was most impressed by this young artist. Following the success of this appearance Stjepan has been invited to perform at the most prestigious festivals in Europe. At the International Holland Music Sessions 2009, he was chosen to participate in "New Masters on Tour" concert series, presenting young artists in prestigious concert venues all over Europe.
Together with the Slovenian violinist Lana Trotovsek and Japanese pianist Yoko Misum, Stjepan is a member of renowned The Greenwich Trio described by legendary cellist Bernard Greenhouse as the "New Beaux Arts Trio". These three phenomenal talents joined forces in August 2006. Their breathtaking chamber music making gains the approval of audiences and critics.
The trio won the the first and the audience prize of the Cavatina Chamber Music Competition in London 2006, the first and special prize of the International Chamber Music Competition in Candelo, Italy 2007, the first prize in the Trinity Laban Chamber Music Competition 2007 and the first prize and two special prizes in the �Carlo Mosso� International Chamber Music Competition in Italy 2008. They are also winners of the Solti Foundation Award 2008. The Greenwich Trio now receives regular coaching from Bernard Greenhouse and Stephen Kovacevich, and has also received coaching from Beaux Arts Trio, Alban Berg Quartet, Israel Piano Trio, Wihan Quartet, The Schubert Ensemble, ... They have already performed in some of the most prestigious European international music festivals. in March 2008 they performed Beethoven's Triple Concerto with conductor Barry Wordsworth and in September the same year they played in the sold out opening festival at King's Place, London.
Barely three years after its formation, the ensemble aspires to be the most energetic, passionate and refined trio of the music world, and has already given performances that have taken audiences by storm all over the world.
